Easy, take it easy26 Jan

For a whole week I have been very lazy… I have only been training three days, and have a bit of a bad conscious about this. Having said that I think I needed it, I had for two weeks only had two rest days, so I was beginning to feel that my body was getting more and more tired.

Instead when I was swimming on Saturday I felt really strong and full of energy, so the extra days rests have really made a difference! I guess this is what it is all about, to listen to your body and sometimes actually take notes from the signals :-) I have a busy week ahead of me, with Tough Guy as a good way to end the week on Sunday.

Dead arms!19 Jan

Today, Monday, was swim training again and back in the water with our demon trainer on the side shouting abuse at Ben and I. We are definitely improving, but today my arms were dead, dead, dead. Ben and Vicky blamed my Saturday drinking session with Martin, and I blamed the training done on Saturday…

Trying to learn to front crawl, 2009

I wonder who is right? Does anyone have another set of arms to lend me to borrow for a couple of days? I promise to return them in good condition of course!

Good weekend for training18 Jan

This weekend was a good one from a training point of view. I did about 2h cycling on the Saturday, and also managed to squeeze in 1.5 hours of swimming. For the swimming I did 30min with Vicky, 30min on my own and then another 30min with Vicky. She is very good at getting more out of you then you thought, but it didnt set me up very well for the late night out with a friend that I had planned since a long time. Martin Svensson and I had a great night out in Soho, ending up at Bar Italia as you should at 3pm… It seems that I at the moment dont do many things half-hearted. I guess that is the way I like it *smile*
